Concept development for MAD.LAB 2017.
North paradise walk and 9th street in Chongqing China has gone through mass developments in recent years. The aim of this project is to address some of the issues created by the mass development in these area in terms of way-finding, public weather sheltering and disconnection created through this heavily top down approach in the new developments.
The final design concept is a series of new street furnitures inspired by the city that will bring visual consistency, Way-finding, weather proofing shelters and digital memory wall so that a curated content and voice from the bottom can be heard through digital QR CODE.
